Answers to the questions we get most about Solmi's AI music video generator: what the free tier includes, what Plus, Creator, and Pro cost and how credits are spent, which song files and links work, the 14 lyric languages, export formats and resolutions, render times, mobile apps, and how to manage your subscription. Solmi is an AI music video generator and director. Upload a finished song (MP3, WAV, or the file you downloaded from Suno), and Solmi detects the lyrics, writes a creative brief, storyboards the video shot by shot, casts a performer from your photos, lip-syncs the vocals, and renders a finished MP4. The same account also makes singing videos from a single photo, full-song dance videos, AI songs, vocal removal, and AI voice covers. It runs on the web and in native iOS and Android apps.
Solmi is free to start and needs no credit card. Every new account gets a one-time 100 music-video credits, which covers a single 20-second 480p preview of your song with a watermark, plus song credits that refill to 10 per day. Full-length renders, 720p and 1080p output, and watermark-free downloads need a paid plan.
Three monthly plans: Plus is $35/month for 2,000 credits (roughly 3 to 7 one-minute music videos), Creator is $85/month for 5,500 credits, and Pro is $135/month for 9,000 credits. Every paid plan unlocks 720p and 1080p rendering, removes the watermark, and includes commercial use. Yearly billing is available at a discount. Compare the plans on the Pricing page.
Music videos are credit-based: each step of the Director (song analysis, brief, storyboard frames, and the final renders) shows its credit price before you run it, and regenerating a single shot only costs that shot. Singing videos are billed per second of output: 4 credits per second at 480p and 8 at 720p, so a 10-second 480p clip is 40 credits. Dance videos are 5 credits per second at 480p and 10 at 720p, with a 3-second minimum and up to 60 seconds per clip.
Paid credits are added each cycle and unused credits do not roll over. Monthly plans reset monthly. Yearly plans are billed yearly, but credits are still added and reset monthly.
Upload an MP3, WAV, or M4A (up to 200 MB), or a video such as an MP4 and Solmi uses its audio. For a song you made in Suno, download it from Suno first (MP3, WAV, or video) and upload that file. You can also try pasting a Suno share link, but the import only works when Suno serves a public file for the song, so if it fails, upload the file instead. Udio links can't be imported, because Udio streams songs with copy protection: upload the song's MP3 or WAV instead. For performer casting, use JPG, PNG, or WebP photos; clear, front-facing, well-lit photos give the most consistent results. Only use music and images you have the rights to.
Solmi detects lyrics and lip-syncs vocals in 14 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Indonesian, Vietnamese. The website and apps are available in the same 14 languages.
Every project exports as MP4 in 16:9 (YouTube) or 9:16 (TikTok, Reels, Shorts); you pick one when you start the project. The free preview renders at 480p; paid plans render at 720p and 1080p.
Solmi drafts the brief and storyboard for a full-length song in about a minute, and a finished music video usually renders in 3 to 10 minutes because shots render in parallel. Singing videos take around five minutes, and AI songs are typically ready within 1 to 2 minutes, depending on queue load.
The free 20-second preview carries a Solmi watermark and is for personal use. Paid plans (Plus, Creator, and Pro) render without a watermark and include commercial use, so you can publish and monetize your videos. You are responsible for holding the rights to the song, lyrics, and photos you upload.
Yes. Solmi has native apps for iOS (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/solmi-ai/id6759606508) and Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aisongmaker.app). They run the same pipeline as the web app, and one account shares a single credit balance across web, iOS, and Android.
Yes. Every shot has a preview frame, a scene description, and assigned characters. Give notes in plain language (for example, "make the chorus neon-lit" or "move the singer to a rooftop"), reorder or rewrite shots, approve the reference image for each character so they stay consistent across scenes, and regenerate any single shot. The credit price is shown before each render.
Open the project and retry the failed step or shot; most transient failures clear on a second attempt. If a shot keeps failing, email support@solmi.ai with the link to the project, your account email, and roughly when it happened so we can look at the exact job.
Manage or cancel your plan any time from the Subscription page (solmi.ai/subscription): switch between Plus, Creator, and Pro, change monthly or yearly billing, and see your credit balance. Mobile subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are managed in those stores. For billing questions, contact support@solmi.ai.
Open the Delete Account page (solmi.ai/delete-account) and submit the request. If you need manual help, email support@solmi.ai from the account's email address.
Yes. The AI Cover generator (solmi.ai/ai-cover) re-sings a song in a new voice: upload a track or pick one you generated in Solmi, choose a voice, and Solmi swaps the vocal while keeping the original instrumental. Covers use credits like other generations, and you need the rights to the underlying song before publishing a cover.
