Turn a product photo, merch shot, or cover art into a 1–15 second AI video ad for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
From one product photo to a finished MP4 ad in four steps.
UGC ad: a presenter holds up your product and talks about it at home, filmed like a phone video, the native look for TikTok and Reels. How-to demo: someone shows how to use the product step by step, for anything that needs explaining. Unboxing: a person opens a package and lifts the product out; the box and wrapping are made up by the AI, not your real packaging. Product highlight: the product spins and floats in a 3D-style scene with light effects and no person, for a premium look. Product review: someone tries the product for the first time and reacts, like a customer review. Cinematic ad: a TV-commercial look with dramatic light, slow motion, and a closing hero shot. UGC try-on and Professional try-on: the product is worn or applied, selfie-style at a mirror or on a model in a studio, so use them for clothing, accessories, and cosmetics.
Online stores and DTC brands can turn one catalog photo into a batch of test ads for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Apps and creators can start from a phone mockup, a book or course cover, or their merch; check that small text on a screen or label survives. Musicians can promote a release from the cover art or sell merch from a product photo, then add the song in an editor. Each ad is one short clip, so the tool suits trying several ideas quickly rather than a long brand film.
Show the product in the first two seconds, when viewers decide whether to keep watching. Keep one product and one message per ad. For TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, keep 9:16 and start from a vertical photo. Add captions for people watching with the sound off, and a scripted read made with the AI Voiceover tool when the ad needs one. The AI writes what the presenter says unless you do, and it can invent claims, so write the line yourself in the direction box when the wording matters and check every claim against what the product really does. Then make several versions with different styles, hooks, and lengths, and let the ad platform test them against each other.
One product photo goes in per ad, plus a presenter photo if you choose one. There is no product-link import, no reference-video remix, and no ad library to copy from. The people, hands, and settings are AI-generated, not real customers or creators; a presenter photo only sets who the presenter looks like. Labels, logos, and small details can change or be added, so compare the product in the video with the real one before the ad runs. Solmi doesn't add captions, a logo end card, or a call-to-action button; finish those in your editor or in the ad platform.
TikTok asks advertisers to mark ads that contain AI-generated content with the disclosure setting in TikTok Ads Manager, and can reject or restrict ads that should carry it. Meta requires a disclosure for realistic AI-made images, video, or audio in ads about social issues, elections, or politics, and can add an "AI info" label to other ads. Rules change, so check each platform's current ad policies before you run an ad, and never present an AI presenter as a real customer.
It depends on what you start from. Tools that read a product page link and add a scripted avatar suit large catalogs. Solmi's generator starts from one photo and creates a new AI scene around your product in one of eight ad styles, priced per ad in credits. The fair test is to run the same product through two or three tools and compare the ads.
Yes. The UGC ad style generates a presenter who holds up your product and talks about it in a casual home setting, filmed like a phone video. The person is AI-generated, not a real customer or creator, so don't present the ad as a real testimonial, and check what the presenter says before it runs. You can pick one of eight AI presenters or add your own photo, and the presenter is modeled on that face; only add a photo of yourself or of someone who has agreed to appear in your ad.
Yes. Keep the 9:16 shape, upload a vertical product photo, generate a 1 to 15 second clip, and upload the MP4 in TikTok Ads Manager. TikTok asks advertisers to mark ads that contain AI-generated content, so turn on its AI disclosure setting for the ad.
Not for a full ad. You need a free Solmi account, and each ad is paid in credits, with the price shown before you generate. A new web account starts with 20 credits: enough for a 1 to 2 second test clip on Standard at 480p, not a full ad. The shortest 4-second ad costs 28 credits on Best or 32 on Standard, both at 480p. Credit packs and paid plans cover full ads.
Yes, when you make them on a paid plan or with a credit pack: Solmi's terms give both commercial-use rights to what you generate. Creations on the free plan are for personal, non-commercial use only. You also need the rights to the photo you upload, including the product design, logos, and anyone shown, and the ad must follow each platform's ad policies.
A sharp, well-lit photo of one product on a plain background, with any label readable, in the shape you want the ad: vertical for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Standard can follow the photo's own shape even when 9:16 is selected, so don't count on it to reframe a landscape photo. For the try-on styles, upload the clothing, accessory, or cosmetic itself. No product photo yet? Both example ads on this page started from photos made with Solmi's AI Image Generator.
Most results include sound: a spoken line for UGC-style ads, music and sound effects for cinematic ones. Results vary, so watch every ad with the sound on. When the direction box is empty, the AI writes the spoken line itself and can invent claims, such as what a skincare product does, so write the words you want in the direction box and check that the video uses them.
Not inside this tool: it takes one image and an optional text direction, with no audio upload. Add your track or a voice read in a video editor or in the ad platform's editor, and mute or replace the generated sound if you need to. Solmi's AI Voiceover tool turns a script into a spoken read in 70+ languages, and the AI jingle generator makes a short jingle for a brand or product.
